This is a one day course for individuals who are keen to learn the process of silk flower making. Silk flowers are used on a headpiece as an alternative to Sinamay trimmings or feathers to create a more exquisite look. By using flower templates you will cut out and shape petals to create beautiful silk flowers using the special flower tools provided in the workroom. You will learn how to place the petal template onto the silk in order to gain the most from your fabric and understanding the bias layout.
We will also discuss how to create your own templates for different flowers and how these can be made out of fabrics other than silk.
